Overview of challenge
As a manufacturer of multi-utility polyethylene pipe systems for the UK utility, renewable energy, aquaculture, and infrastructure markets, Peak Pipe Systems were keen to ensure they were adopting renewable energy across their organisation.
Having installed solar PV previously they had a number of different requirements, including a review of their existing system, and identifying opportunities for expanding their use of solar power and introducing new renewable energy solutions.
Our approach
We began with a restoration project of their existing solar PV system at their Chesterfield site, followed by an additional 63kWp solar installation of 140 solar panels. As well as the onsite solar installation, we installed four new Zappi electrical vehicle charging stations.
The result
The additional solar PV installations will generate 47,093 kWh of renewable energy and cut carbon emissions by 13 tonnes per year. In addition, the onsite solar installation will supply the EV charging stations with 100% renewable energy that will be used to charge employee and visitor vehicles.
