Expert support for the entire project lifecycle.

Ready to begin your solar journey?

Are you looking to reduce your energy costs, achieve energy independence and meet your decarbonisation and sustainability goals?

Commercial solar panel systems can deliver all of these benefits and more when they’re implemented correctly.

However, successful implementation of solar PV systems requires a clear step-by-step approach from the initial feasibility and assessment stage, through the financial analysis and design stage, to installation, commissioning and ongoing monitoring and maintenance.

In addition, you need to address several key elements to guarantee your solar PV system is efficient, reliable and delivers value back to your organisation.

You can find out how our consulting and finance expertise can help to ensure a smooth, cost effective delivery, by following the links below:

Key considerations to help deliver success

  • How can you build a strong business case and identify the right funding model?
  • What is the best solar solution to meet your organisation’s specific needs, considering your space constraints, aesthetic concerns and regulatory compliance?
  • Will your solution require additional infrastructure such as new or upgraded grid connections and energy storage solutions?
  • What are the ongoing maintenance and monitoring requirements to manage repairs, performance efficiency and extend the asset lifespan?
  • How can you make sure you have access to the right skills at the right time to support each stage of the project lifecycle?

Consulting

As your renewable energy experts, we are here to support your business with its sustainability ambitions. At Custom Solar we provide a full turnkey approach, guiding you through every step of your project from start to finish.

We begin by understanding your specific requirements and challenges, to establish a strong business case for your solar project and identify the right finance model to ensure its successful delivery.

This stage includes feasibility studies and initial assessments to benchmark your organisation’s energy consumption, cost saving goals and available space for solar panel installation, including location, shading and orientation.

Finance solutions to suit your needs

Our financial analysis will calculate expected costs, savings, payback period and return on investment for your solar project. We’ll help you understand any potential financial incentives, tax benefits and financing options to help offset your initial investment costs.

Self-financing commonly offers the best returns, however, we appreciate that you might not have capital readily available. So, working with select partners we offer the following alternatives:

A Power Purchase Agreement, or PPA, allows your business to secure a portion of its annual electricity consumption from solar power, with zero upfront costs.

We plan, develop, construct and connect a solar system designed specifically for your business and you will be charged a fixed, or index-linked rate for the electricity generated and consumed over a pre-agreed contract term (typically 10, 15, 20 or 25 years).

With solar asset finance your business can benefit from solar power without paying the upfront costs. This is a good option if paying regular instalments suits you more than making the capital outlay. And savings generally outweigh the repayments, meaning a cash-positive business case can still be achieved.

Choosing between purchasing a solar PV system or opting for a funded solution depends on your business’s long-term strategy and appetite for capital expenditure. If you have financial resources available to invest in solar, then you can typically see a return on investment in under five years.
