Overview of the challenge
Arla Foods dates back to the 1880s, when dairy farmers in Denmark and Sweden joined forces with one common goal: to produce and provide the best dairy products, creating new opportunities for business growth. Today they have farmer owners in seven countries across Europe, including the UK.
As part of their ‘Good Growth Strategy’ one of their goals was to “ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all”. To deliver against this goal they wanted to increase the share of renewable energy used within their operations, and deliver greater energy efficiency internally and in collaboration with their local communities.
Our approach
To help achieve their goal to deliver affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all, we have installed 2,112 Solar PV Panels to create Arla’s 971.5kWp Solar PV system that will generate 761,987Wh of clean energy.
The energy produced by this system will be 100% consumed on the premises which means the warehouse will be running entirely from renewable energy, putting Arla right on track to reach their goal.
The result
- 762 kWh electricity generated
- 137 tCO2 Emissions reduction
