Overview of the challenge
West Midlands Ambulance Service are dedicated to promoting environmental sustainability and reducing their carbon footprint. Their Green Plan outlines their commitment to sustainable practices across all aspects of their operations, ensuring they contribute to a healthier environment while delivering exceptional healthcare services.
One of their key initiatives is to install solar panels on their buildings to generate clean, renewable energy and reduce reliance on fossil fuels.
Our approach
As part of their initiative to install solar, West Midlands Ambulance Service chose Custom Solar to install rooftop PV on 2 of their sites – Tollgate Staffordshire & Waterfront Dudley.
Combined, we installed 249.5kWp of Solar using 499 PV panels.
This multisite rollout will save the service 45.1tonnes of carbon per year and directly supports their Green Plan goals.
The result
- 249.5kWp System Size
- 217,993.86kWh Electricity Generated
- 499 Solar Panels
- 45.1t Carbon Emission Reduction
